SAINTS OF THE UNDERGROUND'S "LOVE THE SIN, HATE THE SINNER"
IMPACTS IN CANADA
Los Angeles,
CA (June 9, 2008) - Saints Of The Underground’s debut release, “Love The Sin, Hate The Sinner” is
being released in Canada on July 10th, 2008.
Saints Of The Underground’s band members all enjoy very active touring schedules and will performing be in
Canadian cities during the summer with their respective mega-groups, Warrant, Ratt, and Alice Cooper. S.O.T.U.
frontman, Jani Lane will be in Montreal with Warrant at Parc Jean Drapeau on June 22, Bobby Blotzer and Robbie
Crane (S.O.T.U’s drummer & bassist) will be performing with Ratt at Calgary’s Snatch Rock & Roll Lounge on
July 3, while Keri Kelli (S.O.T.U.’s guitarist) will be rocking the stage with Alice Cooper on 19 concerts throughout
Canada starting September 18-19 at the Centre for the Performing Arts in Vancouver, BC. “I love performing in
Canada,” commented Kelli, “as the crowds are always tremendously supportive of our brand of rock.”
Saints Of The Underground captured an array of original material on “Love The Sin, Hate The Sinner,” recording
and mixing the project at studios in both Texas and California. “This is a straight up rock CD,” commented Jani
Lane. “No jumping on any bandwagons here...just some guys who have a lot of experience doing what they do
best!” Lane, who has also just reunited with Warrant after 14 years, is fronting their summer tour and will be
headlining July’s Rocklahoma festival. “It’s a total time warp being back with the guys and in addition to my
working on Saints Of The Underground, I look forward to having a new Warrant record out in 2009.”
Guitarist Keri Kelli continues his active touring schedule with Alice Cooper and also contributed as co-writer and
co-producer on the Saints Of The Underground album. “Jani and I are very tight, always working together writing
and recording at my studio in California,” said Kelli. “The S.O.T.U. record was just another day at the office so to
speak. We spent about four full days creating demos and the next thing we knew, we had tunes for the CD!”
Both Bobby Blotzer and Robbie Crane initially participated in Saints Of The Underground just for fun as a cover
band when Ratt was not out on the road. “The group was originally called Angel City Outlaws and we changed the
name to Saints Of The Underground,” recalled Bobby Blotzer. “Initially, it was just a chance for us to get together
and have some fun creatively when we weren’t touring with our other bands. Ultimately, the chemistry of our
jamming together led to our collectively writing and producing the original songs for the CD.”
“Love The Sin, Hate The Sinner” has been heralded as “One of the season’s most noteworthy debuts,” (All Access
Magazine), “Hard rock with a modern twist,” (Revelationz Magazine), and “A MUST HAVE for all you melodic
rockers out there!” (Rock Eyez Magazine). The CD is released in Canadian stores on Tuesday, July10th on Warrior
Records distributed via Fontana North / Universal Music Group. For more information, visit
