Lardner explains, "Costa Rica is the guy I want to escape with. It has double meaning. It was supposed to be a sad song but in the end the real meaning came through." Lardner continues, "The song 'Empty House' means a lot to me. I tried to capture the emptiness of unresolved memories that we will never be able to get closure on."

Lardner's debut CD Sail Among The Stars offers listeners a candid look into an insightful spirited young mind. The album is best described as the product of a burning passion. Kyle was classically trained on piano as a child, but always gravitated to the creative flow of the impromptu and improvised. Kyle's gift was long hidden, as she could only find comfort for her creative release in solitude and darkness. While in high school, she began to discover an untamable desire to share her gift. She quickly began to chase her calling. The result is a stunning debut CD that features 10 diverse and emotionally fueled tracks. Songwriting comes quite naturally to Kyle. Lardner comes from a notable lineage of writers and journalists including the late Ring Lardner-legendary sports journalist.
